Sam Bob (traditional name-Tulkweemult’) of the Snaw-Naw-us First Nation on Vancouver Island has performed nationally in television, film, radio, and theatre. He is a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award nominee for Best Actor in 2004 and 2022, nominated for Best Actor by Edmonton’s Dreamspeaker’s Film Festival in 1998. Mr. Bob has an extensive body of theatre work across Canada. He can also be seen in film and TV in Blackway with Anthony Hopkins, Monkey Beach, with CBC, Loudermilk on Amazon Prime. And recently shot a pilot called Canoe Journey in Lummi territory near Bellingham.
Sam has taught free community theatre classes at the Vancouver Friendship Centre for several years and finds putting young people on stage a particular joy.
